Anonymous page views and clicks

We use PostHog to count three things. These run for everyone, with no bar to accept:

landing_view: a page of this site was opened.
install_click: someone clicked through to the Chrome Web Store.
job_apply_click: someone clicked an Apply link.

Each event can carry the page, the list name, the job id, any campaign tags in the link you followed, whether the device is a phone or a computer, and the basic browser details PostHog collects.

No cookies, and no IDs stored. The counting lives in the page's memory and is gone when the page closes, so we cannot follow you from page to page or recognise you tomorrow.
No person profiles and no advertising tags.
No forms on this site.

Session recordings

Off unless you press "I agree". If you ignore the bar, nothing is recorded and the site works exactly the same.

If you agree, PostHog records your visit so we can see where pages confuse people: the pages you open, scrolling, clicks, mouse movement and what the page shows.

Typed text stays hidden. Every input is masked, and anything we mark as private is left out.
Panels from the JobAlfred extension are left out too. Other extensions that add things to a page could still appear.
We save your choice in this browser, so we do not ask again. While recording is on, a temporary recording ID also sits in this tab and goes when you close it. No cookies either way.
Recordings are kept by PostHog in the United States, until the retention period on our PostHog plan ends.

To delete a recording of you, write to us with roughly when you visited.

Where the data goes

Events and recordings go to PostHog, hosted in the United States. As with any web request, PostHog's servers receive your IP address, and it can be used to work out your rough location, such as your country and city. That tells us which countries the lists help.

The links on this site

Apply links go directly to the employer, with nothing added to the address, so nothing of ours ends up in your application. Install links pass through jobalfred.com/go and then open the Chrome Web Store, where Google's own terms apply.

The extension

The extension has its own privacy page: JobPilot privacy. Recordings never run in the extension or on application forms.
